Security/Escort Services

Security services are contracted from professional security agencies. Security officers are uniformed and trained on a variety of security and safety-related procedures. They are authorized to take appropriate action to assure the safety and security of all students, faculty, staff and visitors. Security services are augmented by local police, fire and ambulance response units.

Minneapolis Campus - MCTC's Public Safety Department will provide escort services anywhere within a one block radius of the MCTC main campus. Escorts will be provided anytime the campus is open for business. To request an escort please call 612-659-6910 (non-emergency) or 612-659-6900 (emergency) and an officer will meet you at the requested location. The Public Safety Department is located across the Hennepin Avenue skyway (parking ramp side) room R3100. Please allow 5-10 minutes for the officer to respond to assist you. Delays may be longer depending on priority calls that are pending.

St. Paul Campus - St. Paul Campus - A uniformed security officer escort is available during building hours to provide escort to and from parking areas. To request escort services, stop at the security officer station located in the main lobby of Founders Hall or the Library or call 952-601-4860. To request an escort from the parking lot to the campus, ask the parking lot booth attendant to call the security office to arrange an escort. You should wait for the escort near the parking lot attendant booth or other areas determined by the safety staff.

Midway Campus - A uniformed security officer escort is available during evening posted class schedules. If you are interested in an escort when leaving the building, call 952-601-4865 or cell phone 651-775-6122 and wait for the escort at the main (east)entrance.
