General Information for Faculty

Library Card/Borrowing Privileges

Faculty members are encouraged to obtain a Metropolitan State University ID card. This card is required to check materials out of Metropolitan State University library collections and to obtain materials via interlibrary loan. The card can be obtained at Library and Information Services on the St. Paul Campus during normal library hours.

This card can also provide you with access and borrowing privileges at all MNSCU institution libraries. You can also get borrowing privileges at the University of Minnesota.

Library Instruction for Your Class

Effective with Spring 2005, librarians will only conduct in-class presentations that focus on specific assignments or course subjects. Please try to arrange this at least two weeks in advance. We encourage you to use our new library classroom in St. Paul for this purpose, though other locations can be arranged. Instructors are required to remain in the classroom during the training session. For more information, contact your library liaison.

Copyright Permissions, Plagiarism Detection, Videos and more

We provide many services for faculty. Use the links to the left for more information or contact your library liason for an overview.
