Online MBA Program

Technical Requirements

In order to participate in online courses, you will need a computer and access to the Internet. Access to high-speed Internet is highly recommended, but not required.

Below are the minimum computer requirements for distance education on the Internet. Minimum requirements include:

Microsoft Windows

  • Windows 2000, ME, NT, XP (or higher)
  • 128MB RAM (256MB or greater recommended)
  • 60MB of available hard drive space to install browsers and plug-ins
  • 56k modem (broadband DSL or cable-modem strongly recommended)
  • Sound Card and Speakers or Headphones
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher OR
  • Mozilla.Org Mozilla 1.3 or higher OR
  • Netscape 7.0 or higher
    (note: on Microsoft Windows, you can usually determine the version number by going to the HELP menu and choosing ABOUT.)

Macintosh OS

  • MacOS 9 or OS X (or higher)
  • 128MB RAM (256MB or greater recommended)
  • 60MB of available hard drive space to install browsers and plug-ins
  • 56k modem (broadband DSL or cable-modem strongly recommended)
  • Sound Card and Speakers or Headphones
  • Mozilla.Org Mozilla 1.3 or higher OR
  • Netscape 7.0 or higher
    (note: on Macintosh OS, you can usually determine the version number by going to the menus, to the name of the application (i.e. SAFARI), and then clicking ABOUT)

Software
Most instructors require Microsoft Word. Students are urged to research the computer requirements before registering for any online course.

Although you may find D2L will work with some of the "unsupported" browsers and operating systems they are not recommended for use.
