Academic Success Workshops

Metropolitan State University offers Academic Success workshops to all students who are in academic difficulty. While, all students may attend one of the workshops, those on academic warning are strongly encouraged to attend. In addition, students admitted on probation and returning students on probation are required to attend an academic success workshop as well as meet with their advisor prior to registering for classes. The academic success workshop will introduce you to time management techniques, evaluate your approach to study and time management and help you chart a strategy for improving your academic performance. . At the workshop, students are asked to take a Study Behavior Inventory that asks questions regarding how students study, and then offers tips on areas of concern.
