Financial Management is one of many departments that have routine interaction with the students, staff, and faculty.  It's the department that has the final, administrative interaction with the student who has already been through the admissions, registration, and financial aid application and approval processes.  It should be noted that financial aid and assistance is not part of Financial Management.
